Job Description Morgan McKinley are currently working with a well known business based in Bath who are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team Morgan McKinley is pleased to be supporting our Bath based client on a newly created Data Analyst position. This Data Analyst role is a chance to work for an incredibly exciting, successful, and resilient company. This Data Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about leveraging data to drive financial insights and support strategic decision-making within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. You will play a crucial role in analysing and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights for key stakeholders. You will work closely with the finance team, leveraging your analytical skills to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financialplanning processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven decision-making in the finance domain. The role includes but not limited to, (and most certainly welcomes the employee to grow the position further):
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to aid in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Collaborate with finance and other departments to gather relevant data for analysis.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within financial datasets.
  • Prepare and present reports on financial performance to management.
  • Contribute to process improvements for financial data management and analysis.
The ideal candidate:
  • Data analysis experience
  • Very strong excel
  • Experience of Power BI and SQL
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Inquisitive and problem solver
  • Comfortable working with internal stakeholders
