Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our busy Procurement team as Procurement Analyst on a fixed term basis for 12 months.Youll be based in our head office in Basingstoke, combining office and home working to ensure a positive work / life balance.Its a really exciting time to join us as Sovereign have joined forceswith Network Homes to form SNG (Sovereign Network Group). Together we provide over 84,000 homes and invest in communities across London and the South of England - our purpose being toprovide quality affordable homes and places that people love for generations.The RoleAs a Procurement Analyst youll play a key role in the mobilisation of our Supplier RelationshipManagement (SRM) programme. Youll be responsible for identifying potential commercial benefits within our existing contracts and supporting the delivery of thebenefit. The SRM programme will pave the way for how SNG contracts will be managed going forwards, ensuring value for money is delivered during the contract life and that contracts remain compliant.Reporting into ourSRMMobilisationLead, responsibilities include:

  • Detailed analysis of contracts and spend data to identify potential commercial contract managementopportunities, such as strategic purchasing, reducing contract leakage and maximising rebate
  • Tracking of SRM benefits delivered by current and future initiatives and validating savings with relevant finance business partner(s)
  • Presenting latest SRM benefits position at monthly project steering meetings to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting on designing and improving processes in relation to our Intend e-tendering and SRM tool to ensure data quality within the system
  • Supportingwith wider Procurement reporting, including monthly inflation reports, quarterly directorate reports, the annual procurement report and maintaining and enhancing our suite of procurement Power BI dashboards
  • Ad-hoc support for other procurement workstreams such as supplier on boarding, tendering, etc.
What were looking forYoullhavedemonstrable experience in a similar role in procurementwith previous experience of analysing and interrogating data, drawing out meaningful insights to influence decision making. Youll also have:
  • A professional and logical approach to problem solving with strong analyticalskills
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge with an ability to interpret and use complex data
  • Strong IT skills, including Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Formulas, Pivot tables, Conditional Formatting etc.)
  • Excellent stakeholdermanagementskillswith proven ability to engage and influence others
  • An organised approach to your workload with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong collaborationskills, sharing ideas and working cohesivelywith the wider team
  • Previous experience of Power BI would be advantageous
