Job Description

360 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a technically minded Account Manager to join a leading IT reseller.Role: IT Account ManagerSalary: £35,000 - £50,000 + double OTELocation: Home-based role with travel to client sites when requiredType: Permanent, full-timeAs an IT Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing customers, working alongside the relevant Microsoft Account teams to establish and develop additional opportunities through your own activity. In this role, you will promote and sell Microsoft cloud-based services (365/Azure) and products offered by the company. The key to the success of this role will be to create long term close relationships with the companys client base.Main duties and responsibilities of an IT Account Manager:

  • Proactively managing a portfolio of accounts, driving interest, and pipeline for the companys product and services
  • Proactively engage with relevant Microsoft Sales ensuring a three-way partnership with the companys customers
  • Achieve set sales targets
  • Determine what customers business requirements are and make recommendations for solutions to meet those needs
  • Articulate solutions and services in both technical and commercial terms
  • Complete pro-active activities in line with measures outlined within set KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
  • Deliver sales presentations to customers
  • Be responsible for driving and attending client meetings
  • Ensure that you maintain and expand relationships with existing client teams
  • Compiles quotes and detailed proposals for customers
  • Maintains regular contact with clients by phone and email
  • Maintains a close relationship with key partners such as Microsoft
  • Adds notes and maintains CRM records in a detailed and up to date fashion
  • Working closely with suppliers, negotiates costs of services and products to support a healthy margin
  • Facilitates successful sales by collecting client information and providing order information to the company
  • Studies and understands all facets of the IT products and services being offered
  • Maintains excellent relationships with all clients within your portfolio
  • Travels regularly to see clients, attends tradeshows, or participates in industry events or training when required
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely fashion
  • Answer any technical questions the client might have
  • Engage with technical teams to initiate project and or service delivery
  • Skills, Experience, and Qualifications of an Account Manager:
  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English (minimum of grade C)
  • Previous Sales Experience Selling Microsoft Cloud Technologies
