Job Description

Sovereigns ambitious Corporate Plan identifies the important role that data, digital and technology plays in our future success. Leveraging the investments, we have already made, well embrace new technology frontiers to create a modern, digitally connectedbusiness; one that delivers maximum impact and value for our customers and people.We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign in this new role as Head of Enterprise IT. Based from our head office in Basingstoke, youll combine home and office working in line with our hybrid approach.The RoleYoull be responsible for the Enterprise IT team, providing reliable, scalable and fit for purpose Server and Network capability that our customers and business rely on every day. You will provide thought leadership to define, evolve and support these services,delivering strategic plans and direction to ensure that services meet current and future needs of the business.Responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for the proactive day-to-day management and delivery of enterprise IT services and products, prioritising workload and resources to assure the quality of IT services to colleagues and customers
  • Managing and prioritising demand and capacity (both people and technology dimensions) balancing BAU, project and Continual Service Improvement activities
  • Leading the IT functions of Cloud, Infrastructure, Network, Voice, Collaboration, operational patching and End User/Digital Workspace services ensuring services are fit for purpose/use and deliver value for money
  • Accountability for all Enterprise IT Systems, Services and products, ensuring that they comply with Sovereigns information standards, policies, operating procedures, and applicable legislation, ensuring the Cyber and secure integrity of the estate
  • Working with the IT Security Assurance Manager and the Head of IT Strategy & Architecture to ensure all technical solutions are built in line with architectural, security and regulatory requirements and standards
  • Responsibility for IT Governance including operational budgets, licencing and ensuring operating practices and policies are adhered to
What were looking forYoull need experience in a similar senior role, with a track record in leading and maturing Enterprise IT operations. You will also need:
  • Experience of leading teams through organisational change
  • Significant supplier management experience
  • Proven knowledge of Cyber Security
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience in IT Service Delivery or Service Management
  • Ideally ITIL certified, and evidence of knowledge of ITIL & Project Management methodologies
  • Strong experience of managing hybrid estates with significant Cloud expertise
