We have an exciting opportunity for two Finance Modellers / Analysts to join our Development Finance team at Sovereign. These are key roles which will give you fantastic exposure to the world of property development with a strong social purpose. Youll help Sovereign deliver one of the biggest housing development programmes in the UK, which is targeting around 2,000 new homes a year.Youll support the Development team by providing expert financial modelling, commercial support and analysis for major capital investment projects such as residential and mixed-use land-led developments, joint ventures, strategic asset management and acquisition and divestment opportunities. Youll provide insight to enable senior managers and the Group Investment Committee to focus on and challenge the right things. Youll also help us budget for and track our build and sales pipeline forecasts, working alongside our treasury and business planning teams to make sure we stay on top of our cash flow needs.Youll apply a deep understanding of investment appraisal and development appraisal techniques to build, flex and interrogate often complex financial models in MS Excel and other systems, highlighting the how well projects fit with or are progressing against business plan targets. Youll also build, organise and enhance models to analyse and monitor individual projects and wider portfolios and ensure that the organisations key reporting and process requirements are met.To be successful in this role youll need to:
