Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner with expertise in Land Led Development projectsWe have a fantastic opportunity to join our Investment Finance team as Finance Business Partner – Development. With offices in Basingstoke and Bristol, we can be flexible on your base location. Youll share your time between the office and home, as well as some travel being required between our offices.Its a really exciting time to join us as Sovereign have joined forces with Network Homes to form SNG (Sovereign Network Group). Together we provide over 84,000 homes and invest in communities across London and the South of England – our purpose being toprovide quality affordable homes and places that people love for generations.The RoleReporting to our Head of Development Finance, the focus of this role is to deliver commercial finance decision support and performance management for S106 housing and Land Led Development projects. You will provide timely, accurate and comprehensive internalfinancial information, commercial financial advice, scheme appraisals and financial analysis to managers and senior executive teams in relation to Development activity.Responsibilities include:

• Leading on providing financial and commercial advice, support and modelling for Development projects, focusing on deal structure, tax implications, key risks and mitigations, and return measures such as residual land value, profit margins, peak debt, ROCE,IRR and NPV
• Running sensitivity and scenario analysis on projects and assessing the viability of potential projects, to understand risks and optimise performance
• Working with the wider development finance team to assess Development Partner suitability
• Driving financial performance and managing risk by business partnering with the Development team and delivering insightful forward-looking MI
• Leading scrutiny of financial information for Development projects, making sure Directors fully understand project performance and are well placed to make informed decisions
• Deliver timely, clear and accurate cash flow forecasts to inform Treasury planning
• Working with Group Business Planning team to provide baseline models, data and assumptions for Development projects

What were looking forYoull have proven experience in a similar role from within housing or real estate, with a strong track record of providing financial and commercial expertise successfully for Land Led Development projects. Youll also have:

• Significant investment appraisal expertise gained within the property / real estate or Housing sector
• Experience leading financial support for large-scale Development projects
• Excellent track record for business partnering, performance reporting, financial planning and stakeholder management
• The ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally with strong networking skill
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Knowledge of PowerBI and real estate appraisal software such as Proval, Sequel & Landval is desirable

Ideally, youll be a Fully Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), or hold an equivalent postgraduate accounting qualificationWhat youll receive from usWe have some fantastic benefits on offer at SNG, including:
