Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer who will work in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing cutting edge space related equipment in Basingstoke.The Role of Electronics EngineerOur client designs, manufactures, installs and maintains a range of high-tech bespoke industrial equipment, largely made up of a range satellite communication ground stations.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Schematic capture (OrCad)
  • Updating existing schematics (OrCad)
  • Design analogue and digital bespoke electronics
  • Fault finding
  • Building and testing prototypes
  • Creating test documents
  • Writing test instruction
    • About YouThe ideal candidate for the role of Electronics Engineer will have or be:
  • Understanding of analogue and digital electronics
  • Understanding of communication protocols like: RS232, RS485, TCP/IP, MODBUS, CAN… etc
  • Understanding of PCB design and manufacturing
  • Some sort of programming skills, JAVA, Arduino
  • Understanding, confidently using electrical/electronic instruments
  • Soldering skills
  • Able to work alone
    • Desireable requirements:
  • Using OrCad
  • Understanding Assembly coding, ladder diagram, PLC programming
  • Understanding control circuits
  • Some sort of experience with RF equipment/devices
