Job Description

Are you experienced in change management Sovereign is a leading housing association, driven by our social purpose and led by our values where our residents are at the heart of everything we domore homes, better places, excellent services.Were looking for an experienced Change Lead to join our Corporate Strategy & Change team on a fixed term basis for 18 months, with possible extension. Based from our head office in Basingstoke youll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.The role Sovereign has an ambitious Corporate plan and this role will be pivotal in ensuring our people have the right skills, tools and behaviours to deliver the change we need to realise our ambitions effectively and consistently.Reporting into our Strategy, Change and Performance Manager, youll will be responsible for ensuring we have an agreed, standard and robust change management framework across Sovereign, and that its applied effectively. Youll support in the developmentand maturing of our change framework, as well as putting in place a robust gateway and mechanism to manage change readiness into the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the impact and effectiveness of the different aspects of our change methodology, consulting with stakeholders to understand lessons learned, tailoring and adapting our framework as required
  • Building a robust stakeholder engagement plan to ensure all business-units, change agents and leadership team understand and buy into our change management framework
  • Identifying our as is and our to be change maturity, working with the Organisational Development team to improve change capability, skills and knowledge across relevant parts of the business
  • Building a set of processes and mechanisms to measure change readiness and to embed a culture and approach to delivering continuous improvement
  • Working with the Transformation team, the wider Corporate Strategy and Change team and business-units to build a change readiness process to ensure we are ready to receive change from inception into business as usual, integrating change readiness into ourportfolio, project and programme management governance
  • Working with key stakeholders across the business to identify and understand the impact of change on our people, and identify the steps required to mitigate or control any negative impacts
What youll needYou should have previous experience in a similar role working within a change environment, with a sound and practical knowledge of change management frameworks and tools. Youll also need:
  • Strong practical experience of successfully deploying change management methodologies
  • To be able to build trusted and credible relationships with senior teams and frontline managers and their teams
  • Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and coaching skills
  • A high degree of personal resilience and commitment
  • Proven ability to challenge constructively at all levels
  • Strong ability to empathise with those who will be affected by change
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills along with the ability to design and deliver workshops
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong track record of identifying solutions to challenges
  • Recent experience of workshop design and delivery at a senior level
  • Any accreditation in Change Management would be beneficial but is not essential
