This role is a standalone position on site and as such you must be comfortable taking control and being self-motivated.Experience as a supervisor is not essential but an understanding of the Water or Waste Water is. This could be from your previous roles such as Plant Optimiser, Tanker driver, Technician, Engineer, Fitter. With customer service and safety at the heart of your thinking, we are looking for the right mix ofwaste management experienceand operational skills, withgood all-round IT and record keeping ability.What will you be doingTo maintain and build upon our excellent reputation within the industry, we are looking for a Site Supervisor to join the team, supervising operations at our Basildon Waste Treatment Centre.Operating the site in accordance with all relevant legislation, licenses, agreements and company procedures, youll ensure health and safety is as paramount as output and performance.Keyresponsibilities:Single Manning(with access to internal and external support)of a Hazardous Treatment CentreResponsible fororganisingthe maintenance of the site and equipment ensuringthe site is operational and able to serve customers.Maintain a positive relationship with customers, Anglian Water andRegulatorsSupervise, acceptorrejecttankeredliquid wastefollowing on-site analysis,ensuring requiredrecords are accurate.Manage daily site requirements which will include: testing of waste, and checking/completion of "Duty of Care"/Hazardous waste paperworkOperation of flow proportional sampling system and compliance with Trade Effluent sampling regime accurately and on time.What do you needWe are looking for you to demonstrate excellent organisational and some administrative skills to compliment your knowledge of key waste management issues and legislation. With the ability to lead by example, your Health and Safety awareness will be at the heart of all activities you do. We are looking for you to have basic laboratory and/ or mechanical knowledge to ensure you can deliver a credible and professional service to our customers. As part of this we would help you to achieve your WAMITAB qualification, so a willingness to study this is essential.
