Job Description

We help support, house, educate, advise, and speak out for disadvantaged young people and adults - and you could now help us make an even bigger impact going forward.Who are we looking for:The role will encompass improving the lives of service users by co-ordinating the provision of direct housing related support and housing management services by working with area operation and central support teams and liaising with a range of external agencies and partners.The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing a team and demonstrate a desire to coach and support their team and to lead by example in driving quality and accountability whilst delivering the contractual aims of the service.Candidates will need to have experience of working with stakeholders from local councils, Social Services, YOT/Probation team and other statutory agrencies and be able to communicate effectively to partners and providers, and form working relations.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • You will be required to support, coach and develop a staffing team within a housing realted setting.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the housing service and working along side the Service Lead and will be required to deputise on occasion.
  • You will lead on safeguarding concerns and investigations.
  • You will be responsible for the turnaround times of void properties and ensuring the service meets the required timescales according to KPIs whilst taking a pro- active approach to ensure targets are met.
  • You will oversee rent collection, ensuring successful housing and other welfare benefit claims are submitted and maintained whilst working with the rental income team, whilst taking proactive action to minimise rent arreas in line with targets. you will ensure rents accounts and monitored, information/actions recorded and where necessary taking appropriate action when arrears arise in line with Nacros policy and procedure.
  • The successful candidate will be required to participate/carryout assessments for young people accessing the service.
  • You will be required to review/monitor all suuport paperwork.
  • You will be responsible for working with Nacros policies and style of operation to promote,monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment.
