Operating across 15 countries and employing more than 12,000 personnel they provide product engineering and lifecycle services to a range of high-tech industries including Aerospace & Defence, Transportation (Auto and Rail), Power and Industrial, Oil & Gas and Medical Devices.Our client has a growing Electronics, Systems and Software engineering capability in the UK supporting customers in the Aerospace & Defence industry.We are looking for an RF Systems Engineer to engage in in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle, including; systems definition, input to estimates and bid activities, requirements apportionment, systems architecting, integration, and verification & validationCandidates with a good understanding of all aspects of Systems Engineering relating to lifecycle processes and methodologies should apply. Specific experience in radar sensing system design and implementation is particularly sought after for this role; with frequencies at X-band and above plus active-electronically scanned solutions being our primary interest. Experience in a Model Driven Engineering environment is also highly desirable for this role.Key Responsibility Areas * Adherence to customers Engineering governance e.g. policy, framework processes, design reviews * Support to new and existing product line operations as required * The preparation of system and sub-system technical requirements and their dissemination to appropriate engineering functions * Technical support to the development of current and future systems architectures/designs and their implementation * Capture of design artefacts as appropriate for all stages in the engineering lifecycle appropriate for managing existing systems and for taking concepts through to production Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required * Experience of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, from development and management of requirements through to acceptance testing * Awareness of Functional analysis and Specification development * Working knowledge of DOORS for requirements management * Experience of Model Driven Engineering approaches and the use of tools such as Matlab/Simulink * Previous experience working with RF systems, specifically radar sensing system design and implementation at frequencies of X-band and above; ideally based on active electronically scanned solutions Desirable: * Previous experience working with communication systems * Previous experience working with military systems, with missiles being a particular interest * Previous experience with electronics assembly and testing, inclusive of RF systems * Knowledge of military and international specifications and standards UK citizenship is mandatory to be able to clear the background checks and obtain unrestricted SC clearanceCurrent valid SC clearance would be an advantageFor more information, please contact Sam at Advantage Resourcing, quoting the reference number 835487Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
