Job Description

Our client a leader in supply chain management and logistics solutions are currently seeking a Pricing and Customer Service Agent to join their team based in Essex, to deal with LCL Ocean Freight pricing enquiries for UK & IE.As the Pricing and Customer Service Agent, you will ensure all Ocean quotes and rates are raised and filed correctly on companys internal systems, to make sure they are easily accessed by internal teams.On a day-to-day basis, you will make sure all sales teams and customers are provided with a timely, accurate and competitive product / pricing offering.The successful Pricing and Customer Service Agent will have a good understanding within the Freight Forwarding industry, competent with general freight forwarding requirements and procedures andexcellent communication skills.Pricing and Customer Service Agent Duties:

  • Receive bookings from customers & overseas offices, and pass them to relevant team members
  • Work on customer / internal billing, address supplier invoice queries
  • Ensure all quotations are current, done in a timely fashion and that existing client rates are kept up to date
  • Ensure we quote profitable, competitive rates
  • Obtaining local charges from external service providers and origin / destination offices
  • Ensure that all charges entered into systems are correct as per agreed tariffs and/or quotations
  • Meet all Company KPI targets and deadlines on a daily basis
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your Manager
Requirements of the Pricing and Customer Service Agent:
  • Experience relating to Ocean LCL would be an advantage
  • Able to be GCSE Level required
