Our client based in Basildon is looking for a highly experienced Payroll professional to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be CIPP qualified or qualified by experience and have experience of managing a team of staff and a portfolio of clients within a bureau environment. Experience of Star, Sage or Xero is preferred.Working a 37.5 hour week, you will be responsible for:-Providing support to the management of payroll services provided by the firm Providing support to a team of three payroll administrators and carry out reviews of their work Advising and supporting team members by promoting a learning environment and supporting the development of others / Supervising and support Team Members on assignments Taking responsibility and be accountable for the planning and completion of the work assigned to you Taking ownership for the management of a client portfolio, acting alongside the Head of Payroll to ensure clients needs are met Participating in developing firm-wide initiatives Maintaining a motivated assignment team Co-coordinating all services delivered to clients and ensure that they are performed in the most efficient and professional manner possible Ensuring the effective and timely delivery, and the quality of service meets the firms aims Ensuring services are only performed if they are in the best interests of the client and where the client has agreed in advance that the services should be performed Billing clients in a timely fashion in accordance with the firms guidelines.
