Job Description

Our client based in Basildon is looking for a highly experienced Payroll professional to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be CIPP qualified or qualified by experience and have experience of managing a team of staff and a portfolio of clients within a bureau environment. Experience of Star, Sage or Xero is preferred.Working a 37.5 hour week, you will be responsible for:-Providing support to the management of payroll services provided by the firm Providing support to a team of three payroll administrators and carry out reviews of their work Advising and supporting team members by promoting a learning environment and supporting the development of others / Supervising and support Team Members on assignments Taking responsibility and be accountable for the planning and completion of the work assigned to you Taking ownership for the management of a client portfolio, acting alongside the Head of Payroll to ensure clients needs are met Participating in developing firm-wide initiatives Maintaining a motivated assignment team Co-coordinating all services delivered to clients and ensure that they are performed in the most efficient and professional manner possible Ensuring the effective and timely delivery, and the quality of service meets the firms aims Ensuring services are only performed if they are in the best interests of the client and where the client has agreed in advance that the services should be performed Billing clients in a timely fashion in accordance with the firms guidelines. Completing your time-sheet in a timely mannerMaintaining your Outlook calendar and ensure it is fully up-to-date at all timesExperience required:-CIPP qualified or qualified by experienceExperience of working in a bureau and managing a portfolio of clientsExperience of managing a team of payroll administratorsSTAR payroll software knowledge is preferableSage payroll software experience is desirableXero payroll software experience is desirableUp-to-date and appropriate knowledge and skills in your technical field to enable you to fulfil the purpose of your roleComputer skills appropriate to your roleVerbal and written communication skills appropriate to your roleIn return for your hard work and experience our client is paying £28,000 - £32,000pa and offers a great benefits package including Private Medical Insurance.If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, please apply with your CV now.If you do not have a reply from us within 7 days of submitting your CV, unfortunately we do not feel you have the relevant skills and experience for this role and we wish you every success in your search.
