Our client based in Basildon is looking for a permanent Payroll Processor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about payroll, a strong team player and have some payroll experience, ideally within a bureau environment. You will have a professional and passionate approach to work and the ability to use your common sense and practical approach to overcome problems whilst acting as a role model to junior members of the team.Working a 37.5 hour, week you will be reporting to the Head of Payroll and working as part of the Payroll Team you will be responsible for:-Taking responsibility for individual assignments, ensuring the effective and timely delivery and the quality of service meets the firms aimsProviding support to the management of payroll services provided by the firmProvide support to a team of payroll administratorsLiaising with specialists in other areas across the firm and ensure communication to clients on such matters is effectiveDelivering agreed service standards and actively promote consistent, exceptional service across the teamStrengthening and maintaining relationships with clients, contacts and our teamTaking responsibility and be accountable for the planning and completion of the work assigned to youTaking ownership for the management of a client portfolio, acting alongside the Head of Payroll other members of the payroll department to ensure clients needs are metCo-coordinating all services delivered to clients and ensure that they are performed in the most efficient and professional manner possibleCompleting your time-sheet in a timely mannerMaintaining your Outlook calendar and ensure it is fully up-to-date at all timesQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-Experience of working in a bureau and managing a portfolio of clientsExperience of processing auto-enrolment pensionsExperience of STAR, Sage or Xero payroll software is preferableStrong verbal and written communication skills In return for your hard work, our client is paying a salary of £20,000 - £22,000pa and offers a great benefits package including Private Medical Insurance.If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, please apply with your CV now.If you do not have a reply from us within 7 days of submitting your CV, unfortunately we do not feel you have the relevant skills and experience for this role and we wish you every success in your search.
