Job Description

Excellent opportunity within a SameDay and Express courier logistics firm for a Business Development ManagerClient DetailsOne of the UKs leading Courier and SameDay Solutions business supplying comprehensive logistics services, with one of the largest SameDay fleets, providing ad-hoc and contract distribution services across Europe.DescriptionThis role requires an entrepreneurial mind-set and a self-starter who a track record in the e-fulfilment market to hit the ground running.Key responsibilities for Business Development Manager - SameDay Courier division

  • Drive new business across the region with corporate and blue chip companies for the local depots - working alongside the national sales manager to grow accounts on a national level
  • Conduct market research and look to uncover potential for future products through on-going visits to customers and potential customers, as well as end users
  • Market mapping and identifying key customers; across industries such as Automotive, Pharma/Life Science, Telcom, Ecomm and Retail
  • New Business target of £350k total revenue
    • ProfileThe successful Business Development Manager will be results driven and have the industry knowledge to understand customer problems and create solutions with the aid of the sales team.The Business Development Manager - SameDay Courier division - will:
  • Ideally you will have experience of the SameDay market, with experience selling: Dedicate Time Slots, Immediate Urgent Deliveries, Next Day & International Delivery, Ecommerce Delivery and Time Courier Deliveries
  • Transport logistics background, such as Next Day, International Carriers, Pallet Network, or other Logistics Network sectors may be suitable
  • Candidate should have a proven track record in Courier Services (ideally)
  • Route to Market experience: IT, Medical, Pharma/Healthcare, Ecomm/Retail, Print, Hospitality, Automotive, Telecomm or Print
  • Be someone who wants to grow their business and maintain an entrepreneurial streak.
  • Proven track record in new business development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to undertake travel.
  • An open and likeable personality with honesty and integrity.
  • Autonomous approach with a positive can do attitude.
