Job Description

My client is a well established, busy freight forwarding company looking for an experienced and dynamic Airfreight Operations Supervisor to join their team!Daily duties will include:

  • Supervising the airfreight and customer service team
  • Managing and processing import and export jobs from quotation to delivery
  • Costing and invoicing
  • Completing HMRC customs clearance
  • Quoting and following up on potential business
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure the highest possible operational performance is maintaining
  • Ensuring all consignments and checking accuracy of paperwork
  • Developing constructive relationships with key accounts
  • Completing customs entries on both imports and exports to allow delivery or release of cargo
  • Providing transport companies with relevant information to ensure customer delivery / collection requirements are met
  • Ensure all files are costed and invoiced prior to export, delivery or release
  • Assist with insurance claims in line with company procedures
  • Complete weekly and month end routines as directed by line manager
    • Requirements:
  • Excellent air freight knowledge on both import & export
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent leadership skills
    • Working hours:Monday - Friday 0900am - 1730pm Required skills
