Job Description

Music Teacher

  • Location: Barton
  • Salary: £150.00 - £200.00 per day, dependent on experience
  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Supply
We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Music Teacher to join a secondary school on a full-time supply basis. The role is set to commence after the Easter break, covering Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Music. This is an excellent opportunity for both EarlyCareer Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators to further their careers in a supportive environment.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to students of all ability ranges.
  • Foster a love for music and encourage high aspirations among students.
  • Develop students’ composition, listening, and group work skills.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that caters to a diverse student body.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
  • Engage with the school community and participate in extracurricular activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Possess a PGCE certificate or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through REED.
  • Previous experience teaching music in a secondary mainstream environment is desirable, but the role is also suitable for newly qualified teachers with QTS.
  • Demonstrable passion for music and education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
