Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a progressive and forward-thinking supply & manufacturing business as they look to recruit a Commercial Analyst who possesses strong data appreciation and natural curiosity!Working full time from state of the art offices in Barton-upon-Humber the successful Commercial analyst will play a key role in the appraising of new commercial opportunities for the Group. This could include analysis of new markets, new products or other newopportunities. Working alongside the Commercial Manager you will carry out and produce in depth research, numerical excel based analysis and insightful report writing. You will work cross-functionally with every department within the Group, meaning strong interpersonal skillsare key, along with critical thinking and a genuine interest in understanding how different opportunities could be successfully implemented by the Business.As Commercial Analyst your responsibilities will include:* Responsible for analysing internal and external reporting* Producing monthly Profit and Loss reports for the Customer Service Department* Identifying areas where they might be Margin erosion and how they can implement cost saving measures* Work closely with Report Writers, using reporting to provide insight into reasons behind erosion in order to drive business decisions to reduce costs* Ensure reporting produced is easy to interpret and goal-driven for continued innovation and growth* Work closely with Finance in order to align with what is reported in the company profit and loss* Providing requested data / performance analysis as required* Report identified system issues / anomalies in the data sources* Support in annual budget preparationWe are looking to speak with candidates with the following skills and experience:* Strong critical thinking and analytical skills* Confident Excel user with an appreciation of efficient data manipulation* Naturally inquisitive, enjoys research and the value it can add* Confident to work both independently and in teams* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Background working in Finance Functions* Part-qualified ACA / ACCA is advantageous but not essential* Previous experience in analysing data with the focus on cost saving action as a result* Exposure to BI Reporting Tools e.g. Power BI or QlikSense is desirable but not essentialTo find out more about this exciting new opportunity contact us today!
