Job Description

Quality EngineerThe Opportunity:We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer and a Supplier Quality Engineerto ensure the manufacturing production lines run smoothly and generate a consistently suitable output of products that meet quality and efficiency standards. With proven experience as a hands on Quality Engineer or a Supplier Quality Engineer ideally within an Electronics environment, but potentially from Mechanical Engineering, you will be looking for a challenging and responsible role nonetheless. This is a great opportunity in beautiful North Devon.Job Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Quality Manager to improve the Business Managementprocesses in line with the Regulatory, Customer and Business needs.
  • Supporting and hosting Customer Audits and visits as well as a Customer Focal forQuality.
  • Driving effective Continual Improvement activities in the Value Stream to deliver RFTand COPQ objectivesincluding PPAP, Control Plans, 8D RCCA.
  • Deliver planned Internal Audits to support annual internal audit plan and manage nonconformancesto completion on time.
  • Drive improvements in the Quality Culture and deliver the Value Stream Quality Improvement Plan.
Personal Skills and Attributes Required:
  • Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualified (AS9100)
  • Relevant training in AS9100 and ISO.
  • Experience of Customer FAIR to AS9102.
  • A formal qualification in Quality / electronic / mechanical engineering.
  • PPAP / Lean Manufacturing/ CI qualification and or relevant experience in applicationof lean tools and creations of improvement plans. (Six sigma)
  • Strong presentation skills.
Working Hours:8.30-5 Monday to Thursday, 1pm Friday finish
