Junior Quantity Surveyor - Residential New Build - RECENT GRAD£25,000 - £35,000BarnstapleAbout The Company :My Client is a family run company who have been trading for over 10 years and due to significant recent growth, they have identified the need for a new Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The client have a reputation for promoting from within and lookingafter their staff, which is shown in the tenure of their staff with some working with them for over 25 years and current management having started their careers working as carpenters.The successful candidate will be working closely with the existing Quantity Surveyors. The client has a number of active projects including one which contains 65 new build houses and another than contains 27 new build houses which the successful candidatewill be able to get involved in straight awayMain Duties :Daily tasks will change depending on the day and the project but can consist of:· Raising monthly applications and Invoices for works.· Variations relating to ongoing projects.· Chasing retention payments.· Site re-measures.· Estimating and ordering of materials.· Creating RAMS for successful projects.· Ordering Plant and off hiring of plant.· Data entry.Requirements :· Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.· Previous QS experience would be beneficial.· Positive attitude towards teamwork.· Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with sub-contractors and senior stakeholders.· Attention to detail.Why You Should Apply :· £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.· Standard Company Pension.· 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays.If you would like to hear more about this job please click apply or contact Joe on Joe @ huntermasonconsulting . com
