EstimatorJob Type: Permanent Job Location: North Devon Workplace: On - Site Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 Mon - Thursday 8.00 - 5.00Friday 8.00 - 1.00Job Description Are you an experienced EstimatorWe are seeking a meticulous Estimator to play a vital role in preparing accurate estimates for our projects. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analysing customer inquiries, schedules, and bills, compiling detailed quotations, and skilfully balancingproject requirements with client budget priorities. Your expertise in negotiation and identifying opportunities to introduce unique selling points (USPs) and value engineering options will be essential to excel in this role.What benefits can you expect

What tasks does this role include
  • Delivering well-presented tender submissions that demonstrate a high level of detail and qualification, adding significant value to our proposals.
  • Sourcing competitive prices from suppliers, as needed, to ensure cost-effective estimates.
  • Developing and adhering to an estimating plan, effectively managing your workload to meet tender submission deadlines.
  • Preparing detailed and accurate quotations by meticulously reviewing schedules, specifications, and contract documentation
  • Identifying opportunities to introduce innovative USPs and value engineering options to enhance our project offerings
  • Reviewing tenders, specifications, and contract documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Following up on submitted tenders to obtain customer feedback and insights.
What will you bring to the role
  • Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar position, showcasing your ability to deliver precise and reliable estimates.
  • Excellent proficiency in mathematics and IT, particularly with Microsoft Excel, to handle complex calculations and data analysis.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, enabling effective interactions with clients and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated thoroughness and reliability in handling estimating tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong team player, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Exceptional client relationship skills, building rapport and understanding client needs.
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive drive to continually improve and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
