Technical Internal Sales PersonCirca £25,000 depending on industry experiencePermanentBarnsley (S70) South YorkshirePlease note: Please do not apply for this role if you do not have industry knowledge of lifting equipment e.g. hoists, cranes, chains.The Client:A privately owned, pioneering engineering business with a global presence have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Internal Sales Person looking to develop a career. The hours of work for this role are 8.30am until 5pm Monday to Thursday including 1 hour lunch break and 8am - 4.30pm Friday including 30 minute lunch break. You will also benefit from working in modern and luxurious purpose built offices, in a friendly environment with excellent facilities nearby. The salary for this position is £25,000 negotiable depending upon lifting industry experience. This really is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual.Job:Reporting to the Sales Manager you will work as part of a small team of four to drive the business forward through a combination of maximising existing clients and recognising opportunities for new sales. You will contribute towards providing a proactive sales role ensuring the effective delivery of compliance and sales operations.Daily responsibilities will include;

  • Liaising with new, existing and lapsed customers via email and phone with regards to new sales enquiries
  • Using your industry knowledge to provide technical advice to customers
  • Produce quotations based on enquiries
  • Maintaining professional and effective communication with existing and new clients
  • Ensure you deliver exceptional customer service at all times
  • Liaise with the Technical team for specific bespoke enquiries
  • Send and follow up customer quotations
  • Process customer queries for sales order and invoicing
  • Ensure the companys procedures are adhered to
  • Respond to customer queries/requests via phone and email
  • Update the Companys CRM system
  • Criteria:To succeed as a Technical Internal Sales Person you must ideally have:
  • Strong knowledge of lifting chains, hoists, and associated equipment. This is essential and we will not consider any candidates without this
  • Good level of education, LEEA qualification(s) advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive and motivated approach to the sales process, inputs and outputs
