Barnsley is currently looking for a qualified and experienced Team manager to join their Care Leavers team The applicant needs to have extensive management and care planning experience to lead a team to fulfilling our statutory duties for children and young people who are full care orders or on the adoption pathway. Knowledge and experience of the Leaving Care andChildren and Social Work Act 2017 also beneficial. We are seeking an candidate who are passionate about achieving good outcomes for Children in Care. £45 per hour - UMBRELLA. Hybrid working - with a minimum of 3 days based in the office at Westgate Plaza, Barnsley.Responsibilities of the role: * To achieve the best possible positive outcomes for children and young people across the service. * To support and direct the work of the Team and the priorities therein through a reflective and systemic approach to all work with children, young people and families. * To ensure that a systemic approach is deployed both in terms of practitioners working together on case work and direct work with children and families * To undertake the prioritisation and allocation of work within the Team, ensuring focused and purposeful social work interventions with explicit aims and objectives about desired outcomes. * To prepare, attend and chair where applicable a range of meetings and decision-making forums on specific cases as required and in consultation with the principal manager.
