As the SEO Manager, you will lead the SEO strategy for our key clients and will be confident in all pillars of SEO including technical, on-page and off-page optimisation. You will have line management responsibility for 2 other members of the SEO team,oversee their work and support them with their training needs. You must have excellent communication skills and be confident in leading client meetings. We have extensive growth plans, so we also want your expertise to support our sales team in winning more new business.Main duties include:Leading on key client accountsPlanning quarterly activity for clients with the ability to pivot depending on external factors such as algorithm updatesKeyword research, keyword/intent mapping & content mappingPerforming technical auditsLeading on website migrationsOn-page content strategy & planningLiaising with our digital PR team on off-page strategies to gain links and coverage for your clientsMonthly reportingWorking with the Managing Director to create new processes for the SEO team to followActively stay up to date with industry news and algorithm updatesProvide training for junior members of the teamWhat we want from you:The ideal candidate for this role wont just follow the crowd. Youll be a thought-leader, will challenge the status-quo, and be inquisitive and curious about how to deliver the best results to delight your clients time and again.You will have thorough and extensive knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation with an understanding of the principles which form best practices for both onsite and offsite optimisation. This will include an understanding of what shouldnt be done as wellas what should be executed to deliver long term effective results for a clients website. As a main point of senior contact for clients, you will schedule calls and meetings with stakeholders to present progress and agree future actions.You should also have a strong understanding of technical SEO and be competent in producing rational reports which can be read and implemented by a web developer. You will be confident and experienced in auditing websites to produce actionable insights whichyou can present to external stakeholders at the highest level. You will also be competent in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Data Studio.In addition, you will be comfortable in assisting with new business pitches to outline the required strategy, build trust and rapport for long term client relationships, and make positive first impressions.Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership of client campaign progress and retentionThorough knowledge of all allocated SEO campaignsTrain and develop SEO Executives on best practice SEO strategiesOnsite and technical analysis and optimisation to produce valuable SEO strategy recommendationsCompetitor analysis and strategic keyword research/ keyword mappingUsing industry-standard analytical tools to produce insightful recommendationsEffectively prioritising your time and organisation of work allocation within the teamBriefing the wider team to execute best practice link building, link reclamation, local level link building and digital PRReviewing and providing constructive feedback for content articles produced by the team; product descriptions, category pages, blogs etcSending monthly reports to key stakeholders using Google Data StudioCommunicate with clients via email and over the phone to share regular updates; attend meetings as a senior member of the team to outline the progress & future strategyInternal liaison with other staff members where clients opt for multiple digital marketing services to be provided by Bigfoot Digital ensuring a collaborative approachConsider the bigger marketing picture and add value to clients by making ad-hoc suggestions on wider topics such as conversion rate optimisation (CRO) to aid the ROI results of the SEO campaignWhat you can expect from us:We work on a hybrid model with a minimum of 1 day per week in our Barnsley-based office.
