We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Public Sector Client who have a requirement for a temporary (long term) Operative (Grass Cutter) - immediate startThis role is working Monday to Friday 7.4 hours per dayMain responsibilities:--Undertake general operational duties in all weathers which will involve a wide range of physically demanding tasks-Use of mechanical or manually operated pedestrian or hand held equipment-Responsible for the careful day to day use, maintenance, security of machinery and equipment-Be customer focussed and deal with exchanges of information in a polite, courteous and positive manner and where necessary report problems to your line manager-Work under the guidance of the line manager to agreed procedures to deliver services to a professional standard-Work to agreed schedules and where necessary respond to new priorities if directed by line manager to ensure deadlines are met-Comply with Health and Safety, Customer Care, Dignity at Work and other relevant legislation, policies and procedures at all times-Undertake any duties commensurate with the post as requested by management-Support performance management, complex data analysis and interpretation, promoting quality service delivery and continuous improvement.-Use ICT solutions to deliver existing services, including the completion of electronic records to support new services and initiativesPerson spec:- GCSE x 2 or equivalent Manual Handling Needle Stick IOSH Working SafelyTo hold a valid UK provisional driving licence Experience of working as an individual or in a team Experience of working in the grounds maintenance environment and carrying out respective duties Experience of Health and Safety and how it applies to daily duties Able to communicate politely and effectively Able to demonstrate a positive commitment to work and give practical help to other when required Able to consider and suggest methods to improve ways of working Able to carry out a personal workload and take the responsibility for solving day-to-day issues to ensure objectives are completed as required To have the ability to carry out safe working practices in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation Able to undertake any travel in connection with the post
