Job Description

Take responsibility for determining and delivering the technology leadership and IT strategy for the business. This is a hands on leadership role providing IT Systems, Operational and Infrastructure management to meet both internal and external customer requirements.Client DetailsOur client is a leading manufacturing business and proud member of Made in Britain with over 160 employees, and 60 years of industry experience behind them.DescriptionWhat youll be doing:As IT Manager you will be a key member of management responsible for determining and delivering the technology leadership and IT strategy for the business. This is a hands on leadership role providing IT Systems, Operational and Infrastructure management to meet both internal and external customer requirements.Responsibilities:

  • To provide leadership, vision and management to the companys technology and IT capability to ensure long term efficiency and the required capacity to meet business growing demands.
  • To develop and implement an IT strategy that meets the needs of the business, its employees, customers and suppliers whilst remaining flexible to change.
  • To lead, motivate and develop IT members through their personal development.
  • Acting as and constantly developing as a Technical expert within specified technologies.
  • To further develop the existing IT systems and processes, such as ERP and CRM.
  • To lead the selection and implementation of all new IT systems and applications.
  • To create, maintain and monitor the IT infrastructure to ensure stability, availability and capacity to all systems.
  • To manage and deliver IT projects throughout their lifecycle, including documentation and reporting.
  • To take full responsibility and close management for the IT budget and IT procurement activities.
  • To manage and further develop the Disaster Recovery planning strategy.
  • To undertake any other duties assigned which are consistent with the job holders expertise.
  • ProfileKey Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a similar IT leadership role.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills - ability to translate complicated technological terminology into language easily understood by others.
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage an IT function unsupervised.
  • Proven experience in the management and development of key company IT systems, such as ERP and CRM systems (Epicor E10 desirable, not essential).
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system is essential.
  • Ability to oversee project and development delivery to meet the business needs and meet timescales and budgets.
  • Experience working with modern VoIP technologies.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Office 365 suite.
  • Evidence of supporting IT infrastructures, including servers, storage and networking, including virtualised environments such as VMWare.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem & Change Management.
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSA, MCP, MCITP) or equivalent (desirable, not essential).
  • ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile or equivalent project management (desirable, not essential).
  • Job OfferSalary:£40,000 - £50,000 per annumBenefits:
  • 25 days annual leave per annum (Jan - Dec) plus statutory bank holidays
  • Company workplace pension - after completing probationary period
  • 38 hours a week (8-5 Monday to Thursday and 8-12 Friday)
