The purpose of the role is to supervise and co-ordinate the activities of the on-site reliability team, ensuring that there is cover for the site to allow the provision of engineering technical support, technical improvement projects and coaching to manufacturing operations.Our Engineering Supervisor perks and benefits are:

    • Engineering Supervisor OverviewIn this role you will:
  • Ensure continuity of engineering support through effective communications, team management and handover to other teams.
  • Champion areas of production in continuous improvement activities from a technical perspective.
  • Own technical improvement projects and overhauls from a reliability team perspective.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
  • Manage Control of Work procedures including issuing and managing permits to work (PTW).
  • Act as the lead in continuous improvement techniques (equipment reliability orientated).
  • Work closely with Maintenance Team Supervisors to understand reliability loss data, derive action plans to tackle loss and drive the action plans through to completion.
  • Complete improvement projects: Kaizens, 5S, RCA’s
  • Ensure the CMMS (Agility) is used for:
  • Recording all work completed
  • Planning all corrective work that results from work completed
  • Booking out all parts from stock
  • Ensure the Health, Safety & Welfare of yourself and our employees is maintained by following all company policies relating to H&S including the correct use of PPE
    • Key Stakeholder Relationships Key customers to work with, communicate & influence are:
  • Maintenance Managers - Understanding maintenance losses and trends
  • Production Area Managers - Agreeing priorities & managing incidents
  • Production Supervisors - Understanding problems and agreeing approach
  • Operators - Coaching on working principles & safe working
    • People Management
  • Effectively manage your team to ensure highest levels of attendance, attitude, motivation and skills.
  • Ensure all training and e-learning is relevant, up to date and completed.
  • Manage holidays so that the site is covered adequately from a service perspective.
  • Manage attendance and poor performance issues proactively and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate all relevant information to all members of the shift on a regular basis in order for them to carry out their tasks and job duties. This includes liaising with other shifts and departments
    • About you!
  • Recognised NVQ / EITB Apprenticeship
  • HNC Engineering or ONC+ significant experience
  • COMPEX Elec or Mech
  • Awareness of the practical implications of all relevant Statutory legislation (PUWER, EAWR, LOLER, Risk Assessment, PSSR, CDM etc)
  • Experience of day-to-day usage of Word, Excel, Outlook and CMMS (Agility)
