Job Description

Catering ManagerReference: NOV20211098Location: Dearne Valley - Old MoorSalary: £22,986 - £25,500 per annumBenefits: Pension, Life Assurance, 26 days Annual LeaveContract: Full-Time, PermanentOur busy catering operation at Old Moor Nature Reserve is looking for a Catering Manager to join the team! We are looking for an individual who is able to deliver the highest standards and customer care and to be responsible for the day-to-day running ofthe cafe operation, in line with set RSPB procedures and routines.This role is a Full Time Role of 37.5 hours working 5 days out of 7. You will need to be available to work during the day (occasional evenings), and weekend and Bank Holiday working will be essential.Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Ensuring the cafe is delivering the highest standard of customer care
  • Achieve financial targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to deliver against catering goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ensuring all catering administration, operating processes, security, food hygiene and health and safety adhere to RSPB procedures
  • Ability to manage and respond to customer needs and feedback
  • Ensuring that all catering staff and volunteers are recruited trained and managed in accordance with RSPB guidelines and policy that results efficient team working.
  • To be responsible for the planning and efficient day to day running of the cafe.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
  • A natural leader who can influence, motivate and inspire people at all levels
  • Ability to manage and respond to customer needs and feedback
  • Successful experience of leading and managing a diverse team
  • Proven track record of managing a successful catering operation
