Job Description

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with an ever-evolving business based in Barnsley as they look to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is superb opportunity to join the business as it continues its substantial growth with further investment anticipated moving forward. The position will involve all aspects of purchase ledger with further accounts and month-end responsibilities. With the opportunity for long-term progression and development as the company continues to expand, this is a superb chance to secure a great career role.Key duties:

  • Producing weekly creditors reports for managing director
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Fixed assets register management
  • Matching, batching and coding of purchase invoices
  • Handling supplier queries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing payment lists
  • Processing payment via weekly BACS run
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Liaising with senior management for payment authorisation
  • Working on Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Excel
  • Additional support within export, stock, dealing with utility companies etc
