Job Description

Daytime Healthcare are working with a great National Childrens Residential Organisation who are looking for Youth Justice Support Workers to join their team!Overtime and bank holidays paid time and a half.Day Shift Salary:

  • Full Time - £26,516 per annum, equivalent 40 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)
  • Part Time - £13,258 pro-rata, equivalent 20 hours per week (including weekends and bank holidays)
As an Youth Justice Support Worker, you will responsible for:Provide direct support and care for young people aged 16 to 17 years.To safeguard young people through collaborative working with external agencies and emergency services and compliance with local authority safeguarding procedures.To work closely with the local authorities to reduce young people’s offending behaviour and support them to complete their court orders.To ensure a trauma informed environment within the home at all times.Ideal Candidate:Hold a relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation, youth justice or Youth Work etc.At least 1 year experience working with young people at risk of custody.An understanding of the issues facing young peopleThe ability to cope effectively with challenging behaviourGood communication and team working skillsFlexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.Working knowledge and thorough understanding of the barriers and challenges that non-white young people face within the criminal justice systemBenefits:
