SEND Teaching AssistantAre you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in the London borough of Barnet, North-West LondonTradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join this Special Needs School in Brent, North-West London, on a full-time basis. This is a long-term role starting in September 2022 until July 2023 at least, paying between £85.00and £100.00 per day.This Ofsted Outstanding special school in Barnet, North-West London, provides for children between ages 5-14 years old with a diagnosis of autism (ASD / ASC). Some of the students are non-verbal or pre-verbal so communication using PECS/MAKATON is desired.The school is a modern purpose-built facility and playgrounds equipped for physical exploration and interactive play. Pupils can also access Occupational Therapy, Art Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dramatherapy and a sensory room if needed.As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be placed in a small classroom of 8 pupils within a mixed Year 3 - Year 5 group who have a diagnosis of Autism, are fairly high functioning, have a lot of energy and have some behavioural challenges. Generally, youwill be providing support to students in small groups and working alongside the class teacher to help with student engagement, progress and the management of individual behaviour.
