Private Client Tax Senior or Manager Finchley, North London Up to £65,000 Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting this multi-disciplinary group that due to extensive growth and acquisitions, are now in a position to recruit a highly experienced and well qualified Private Client Tax professional into a role anywherebetween Senior and Manager in skill level. Job Summary: The firm are looking for a private client tax professional who is ATT qualified and ideally has a view towards completing their CTA. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with an incredibly broad range of clients including expats and non-UK residents. We support High Net Worth individuals, Entrepreneurs and Trusts through the life cycle of their business. Role Responsibilities: Preparation and submission of tax returns for a portfolio of clients, including reviewing tax returns of juniors Speaking with clients and prospects (over the phone) answering tax queries Assisting the wider tax team with tax return reviews from outsourcing company Assisting in preparation of written private client tax advice in report format to clients Managing client relation relationships and expectations, which would involve monitoring of IRIS on a weekly basis to ensure a number of issues and deadlines are being met Assisting with update of our internal CRMs and client portals of new enquiries Various ad hoc work as and when it arises Although this role is mainly compliance-based, there is the scope to work within other areas and get more involved in advisory as your role develops. Person Requirements: ATT qualified or studying towards the CTA At least 3+ years experience in a similar private client/personal tax role working for a UK based accountancy practice Strong technical tax knowledge and practical expertise within the private client tax arena, with demonstrable broad experience of the tax affairs of non-domiciled individuals, entrepreneurs and share schemes for small and medium-sized enterprises Aptitude for research and the ability to prepare complex written advice/calculations Strong communication skills, be it face-face, email or in writing, and have an emotional intelligence in dealing with sensitive private client matters e.g. divorce cases, business partner disputes Some experience in identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients and across other service lines would be advantageous Strong IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office - notably, Excel) What the role offers: Salary up to £60,000pa depending on experience and qualifications 22 Days Holiday + Public Bank Holidays to start A day off for your Birthday Private medical insurance Pension Contribution Bonus scheme Hybrid working policy, 4 days in our North-West London Office and Friday working from home Excellent training and development opportunities Christmas and Summer parties Quarterly get together and team building Small milestone gifts If you are looking to take the next step in your career as a tax professional and have ambitions to join a highly dynamic firm where the rewards are limitless then please do not hesitate to apply now.
