Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at our Woodlands Day Nursery in Barnet on a full or part time basis. We are offering an hourly pay rate of £11.05 for this role. Main Responsibilities
  • Following the direction of the Cook you will prepare raw ingredients in-line with the set breakfast, lunch and tea menus, which promote healthy eating for our children
  • You will contribute towards maintaining a clean, tidy, hygienic kitchen environment. You will adhere to COSHH guidelines and Food Hygiene standards at all times, ensuring ingredients and cleaning chemicals are used and stored appropriately and safely
  • In the Cooks absence, you will step up to resume responsibility for all food preparation and cooking
  • You will respectfully engage with colleagues, our Health, Safety and Environments team, and external professionals, including the Food Standards Agency, in order to successfully work in partnership to uphold childrens well-being and to maintain a 5 starrating
