Job Description

Our client located in Barnet, North London is looking to recruit an Assistant Catering Manager 30 hours a week, 8am-3pm - Five days a week, term-time plus one week. You will play a crucial role in preparing and providing a high quality food and drink service to the school community and to deputise in the Catering Manager’s absence. Theideal candidate should:

  • Demonstrate effective teamwork skills and be able to collaborate well within the team.
  • Exhibit a friendly demeanour and maintain a positive Can-do attitude.
  • Display a genuine passion for food and a commitment to delivering quality service.
  • Take a proactive approach to maintaining high standards, getting hands-on as necessary.
  • Adhere to excellent hygiene and health and safety protocols.
  • Show self-motivation and capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally, have prior experience in food preparation and service, particularly within a school kitchen.
  • Possess proficient English language skills.
  • Be adaptable and capable of adjusting to shifting priorities.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities, essential for interactions with staff, students, parents, and suppliers.
