Job Description

Head of Equality, Diversity and InclusionLocation: Home basedSalary: Circa £52,000Reed is currently helping a highly regarded Charity with recruiting to a key leadership position of Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).EDI is at the heart of our mission to deliver better outcomes for the Charity. Diversity is built into the very heart of our 10 year Corporate Strategy as a key enabler and we are driving forward our ambitious agenda to be an exemplar in our approach to EDI. Additionally, our client is committed to being an actively anti-racist organisation and the post holder will be fundamental in keeping us on track to deliver this challenging commitment.You will be an outstanding subject matter expert who will work collaboratively with the CEO and senior leaders across the charity to embed EDI at the heart of every agenda, as well as expanding our external presence as a sector leading charity. The post holder will be a strategic thought partner and advisor to senior leaders across charity to support the efforts and capabilities of colleagues to champion EDI, developing a more inclusive culture and embedding EDI practices sustainably.Your skills and experience will include:

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of EDI within a large-scale organisational context.
  • Good knowledge of equalities legislation, employment law, social and political contexts across EDI.
  • Considerable experience at a strategic and operational level, developing and delivering EDI action plans and policy
  • Experience of advising at CEO/senior leader level
  • Ability to successfully harness the passions and commitment of a geographically dispersed workforce
