Job Description

Role: Account Manager / Stock Manager - Housebuilder DivisionSector: Independent Timber Merchants / ManufacturerPackage: £28,000 - £35,000 + BonusOur client is a very well established Independent Timber Manufacturer & Distributor supplying certified timber including: Sheet materials, Sawn Hardwood & Softwood, Carcassing, Door Liners, Door Blanks, Cladding, Window Boards, Mouldings, Skirting boards, architraves and more.Due to growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Executive / Account Manager / Stock Manager from within the Timber Merchants / Builders Merchant / Construction Supplies / Distribution sector.**The most important aspect is to find someone with experience working with the larger Housebuilders, managing multiple call-offs at any one time.**Key Responsibilities:

  • To head up the Housebuilder Division
  • Maintain a smooth and consistent follow of materials to the various sites
  • Working to a clear schedule of delivery and call-offs, ensuring there is sufficient stock to be pulled down
  • Overseeing stock levels and manufacturing requirements
  • Ordering stock from 3rd party suppliers as required
  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships with the Housebuilder clients
  • Managing upto 12 housebuilder sites at any one time
    • Key Attributes:
  • Proven experience working with Housebuilders and working to Call-Offs
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach
  • Knowledge of timber - sheet materials & soft wood would be a definite advantage. Or Builders Merchants experience would be beneficial
  • Customer focused with proven experience within an internal sales or stock management role (ideally within the timber sector)

  • Starting basic of £28,000 - £35,000 dependent upon experience
