Job Description

A well-established international business is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join its team covering the Scotland area. This role will suit someone with an understanding of timber engineering or timber frame. You will be taking over from an Area Sales Manager who is retiring and who has done an excellent job in Scotland.Established for over 50 years, the company are manufacturers that pride themselves on the quality of their products and the service that it delivers to its large database of customers across the UK. House building across the whole of the UK is fuelling both timber engineering and frame production creating excellent demand for the company’s products.As an Area Sales Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Selling technical solutions to both timber engineering and frame manufacturers within Scotland.
  • Working with a database of circa 90 builders merchants across Scotland.
    • We are keen to speak to people about this role with the following skills and experience:
  • An understanding of Roof Truss, I-Beam, I-Joist, Spandrel Panels, Roof and Floor Cassettes or the timber frame industry.
  • Able to travel throughout Scotland including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Falkirk, Dundee, Lanark.
  • Previous business development / area sales / field sales experience – ideally selling roof truss or timber frame solutions across Scotland.
    • This role would also suit an ex-designer from a timber engineering or frame construction background who has progressed into becoming a sales professional.In return, you will receive a basic salary of up to £38,000 pa OTE £42,000 plus a car.If this sounds like the Area Sales Manager role for you and you understand the manufacture and design of roof trusses or timber frame and have sold on the road covering Scotland.
