Job Description

The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (shifts) to join our clients team based in the Baglan area.Salary: Starting at £17.88ph rising to £28.28ph after assessment. Hours of work: Full time: Average of 42 hours per week. Shifts 6.30-6.30 Days and Nights. See Shift pattern below:-Week 1: Mon & Tues (Days), Wed & Thurs (Off), Fri,Sat & Sun (Nights)Week 2: Mon & Tues (Off), Wed & Thurs (Days), Fri, Sat & Sun (Off)Week 3: Mon & Tues (Nights), Wed & Thurs (Off), Fri, Sat & Sun (Days)Week 4: Mon & Tues (Off), Wed & Thurs (Nights), Fri, Sat & Sun (Off) rotates back to Wk1.Contract: PermanentResponsibilities:-

To ensure electrical and electronic operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality
To perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
To perform preventive maintenance as per established standards and plans
To plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
To perform quality improvement and cost reduction and productivity as obligated
To maintain records and files if requested
To participate in emergency on-call duty on a rotational basis and work all shifts flexibly when job demands
To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to

Skills Required:-

Electrical & Mechanical experience, ideally from a manufacturing environment
Have knowledge and be able to read diagrams of electrical schematics, hydraulics & pneumatics
Apprenticeship desirable but experience preferred
NVQ in PLC advantageous
