Job Description

Sterile Services Technician or TraineeAylesfordUp to c. £23,500 per yearKW/ME/10994/1Whether you are brand new to Sterile Services or a seasoned professional, a specialist hospital decontamination service is looking for a Sterile Services (Decontamination) Technician to join the team in reprocessing vital medical equipment for hospitals across London and the South East.As a Sterile Services Technician at the Aylesbury-based unit, you will:

  • Decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments and endoscopy tools on behalf of both NHS and private hospitals so that they can be safely reused in future procedures
  • Receive full training on-site for you to further develop your skills or learn the ropes, with additional support provided by the manufacturers of the specialist machines and instruments themselves
Career progression opportunities are also availablewith experience and ambition, you will be able to advance from Sterile Services Technician towards Team Leader and management positions.This is a permanent, full-time role with the following shift patterns available:Earlies: 0600-1400 x2 Monday-SundayLates: 1400-2200 x2 Monday-SundayNights: 2200-0600 x2 Monday-SundayEnhanced pay rates will be awarded for early hours before 7am, late finishes after 8pm, nights and weekends.Person specification:Previous experience in Sterile Services is beneficial but not essentialtraining will be provided.Benefits include:
