Job Description

Engineering Manager required near Maidstone, Kent. Great salary, benefits include up to 25% bonus, car, pension, family healthcare, relocation, on-site gym etc working for a global manufacturing group, employing c48000 staff across 370 locations worldwide.Candidates must be degree level qualified with heavy process engineering management / manufacturing experience (e.g. paper, board, chemical, industrial etc).The company operates a positive, continuous improvement working culture, offering excellent prospects within a sustainable, environment driven business.The Engineering Manager will ensure that the engineering services provided to the plant are of the highest standard, within a set budget spend and with engineers, technicians and supervisors who are well motivated and engaged in their duties. Foster a cultureof performance excellence within the Engineering Team and set a strategy to achieve this excellence.Engineering Manager Essentials:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • Min 5 years of experience as a maintenance engineer in a continuous manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of condition and preventive maintenance strategies
  • Knowledge of SAP PM modules
  • Continuous improvement techniques
  • Experience managing a technical team
  • Strong operational focus to keep track and manage effectively the needs of a fast paced manufacturing process
  • Good leadership skills combined with excellent communication skills
  • Strong team-work ethic with ability motivate others
  • Creative, innovative
  • Analytical problem-solver
  • Ability to set SMART targets
  • Displaying a flexible attitude with a willingness to embrace new ways of thinking
