Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to work as an Accounts Assistant for the UKs leading Independent Amusement Machine Operator based near Maidstone in Kent.The Accounts Assistant will be hands on with a can do attitude reporting to the Finance Director.The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the purchase and sales ledger and credit control functions . This role will enable the successful candidate to develop their accounting skills.Responsibilities:

  • Posting and processing purchasing invoices & credit notes
  • Raising, processing and posting sales ledger invoices
  • Producing aged creditor and debtor reports
  • Posting and matching customer & supplier payments
  • Preparing payment runs for approval
  • Sending suppliers remittance advices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Establish good relations with customers and suppliers & dealing with their queries
  • Maintaining & reconciling floats
  • Managing and administration of petty cash
  • Credit control
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Person Specification
  • Relevant experience of working with sales and purchase ledgers & experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work to a deadline
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable working in both an individual and a team environment.
  • Be approachable & personable
  • Be able to prioritise and manage own workload in a busy environment
  • Proven technical ability
  • Strong knowledge of Sage Line 50
  • Strong Excel knowledge
