Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Children’s Services for a Full-Time Administrative Officer to join our team at a Children’s Home. This role involves working closely with some of our most vulnerable children and young people, making a meaningfuldifference in their lives.We prioritize the individual needs of each child and young person we serve. This new provision presents an opportunity to embrace innovation in understanding and addressing the needs of this important group. Our approach is multi-professional, guided bya strengths-based (Signs of Safety) and trauma-informed methodology to ensure the holistic well-being of children, young people, and their families.As a Full-Time Administrative Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing professional administrative support to residential services for children and young people. Your responsibilities will include maintaining spreadsheets, accurately recordingdata, and proficiency in minute/note-taking. This role requires adherence to strict confidentiality protocols, meeting challenging deadlines, and managing diverse workloads efficiently.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to residential services.
  • Maintain accurate records, including data entry and spreadsheet management.
  • Proficient in minute/note-taking during meetings and discussions.
  • Meet specific deadlines and follow established procedures and guidelines.
  • Utilize various computer software packages, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Remain flexible to meet evolving service requirements and handle pressure with composure.
  • Demonstrate commitment to meeting customer needs and providing exceptional service.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an office setting, with a strong understanding of confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet management and accurate data recording.
  • Excellent minute/note-taking skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse workloads and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer software packages, particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing service requirements.
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer needs and providing exceptional service.
