Trainee Process Technician

Job Description

Due to expansion a fast-growing manufacturing business, located in central Warwickshire is looking to take on a Trainee Process Technician. The facility is powered by renewable energy and their production methods result in zero waste.Full training will be provided to ensure the successful Trainee Technician is fully competent and confident in their duties, to ensure shift production targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with company and regulatory standards(Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) and industry accreditations (BRC and FEMAS).The business produces high quality, UK grown food and animal feed and the production plant operates 24/7. Your role will work predominately days, 7am-7pm, 4 on and 4 off, with the occasional night shift cover when required.Please note this company does not participate in the UK sponsorship scheme, and candidates will be required to be fully eligible to work in the UK.As a Trainee Process Technician, you will be trained to undertake the following:

• The safe operation of plant processes within a range of set parameters to ensure production targets are achieved in volume, quality, and efficiency.
• To undertake all routine sampling and testing of the production processes are carried out and recorded as required.
• Ensuring all assigned routine safety and preventative maintenance checks are undertaken as scheduled.
• Assisting Maintenance Technicians in the event of plant failure.
• Ensuring that production related waste is moved to designated disposal locations in a timely fashion.
• Recording and reporting data as requested using spread sheets.
• Undertaking general housekeeping and cleaning of the areas.

To be a successful Trainee Process Technician you will have the following skills and experiences:

• We will consider a recent graduate with a BSc, BEng or Meng qualification in Process, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Good Microsoft office skills, particularly XL.
• Ability to meet deadlines, with good time management.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A hard-working attitude, with an ambition to want to succeed and progress.
• Physically healthy and capable of working in a production site environment involving stairs, rung ladders and some high-level work areas.
• Good communication and English language skills.

In return, you will receive a salary of £25,000 pa plus 15% shift allowance and 30% for occasional night shift.You will be working in an agricultural environment, with exposure to wheat, grain dust and other allergens.
