Job Description

Packing ManagerLocation: Ashton-Under-LyneSalary: £40,000We are recruiting for a Packing Manager for a well established Food Processing company based in Ashton Under Lyne.The role is offered on a permanent basis and offers the potential for further progression and development.THE ROLEThe role of Packing Manager will consist of the following tasks and duties:

  • Monitor the quality of output
  • Record management information to ensure all production targets are met.
  • Utilise KPIs to manage and increase efficiency
  • Use your technical knowledge to be a point of reference to the team to help solve complex problems.
  • Manage the team on a daily basis - motivating, leading and mentoring the team.
  • Be a major part of the company wide continuous improvement plan.
  • Always keeping Health, Safety and Quality concerns at the forefront of your mind.
    • THE CANDIDATETo be considered for the role of Packing Manager, you will need the following:
  • Experience within the Food Production industry (ideally within Packing / Packaging / Logistics)
  • Strong working knowledge of Continuous Improvement - developing and implementing plans.
  • A strong team leader able to motivate and lead.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Strong technical understanding of the packing process.
