Job Description

We are recruiting for an IT Business Analyst. This is a permanent, full time office based position - Ashton-under-Lyne.About the roleWorking within a busy IT department reporting to the IT Project Delivery Manager, youll be responsible for understanding and interpreting business needs, priorities, problems, and opportunities and translating them into them into functional and technicalsystem requirements and solutions.Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Requirements gathering and analysis. Reviewing, creating and/or documenting business and technical processes.
  • Working directly with stakeholders to understand current business processes and objectives to identify and review options; creating solutions that fit the business from a technical and commercial perspective
  • Lead requirements analysis and scoping workshops
  • Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and service providers
  • Create functional requirements specifications and designs based on business requirements
  • Translate non-technical requirements into highly technical specifications
  • Design, create and document process flows, technical requirements, specifications, High-level design documents (HLDs), mock-ups, use case modelling, user stories
  • Work with Project Management and development teams to develop project plans, identify project costs estimate and resources
  • Work closely with developers and technical teams to determine the technical feasibility of new requests
  • Review business and system requirements with stakeholders to obtain approval
  • Create and execute test plans based on business process to ensure rigorous testing before rolling out live systems
  • Develop support documentation and training material as required
  • Undertake all activities in line with Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures and participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace
Qualifications or equivalent experience
  • A bachelors degree in I.T or a similar subject or equivalent industry qualification
  • Significant experience as an I.T business analysis or a similar discipline.
  • Experience/exposure with Azure DevOps and CI/CD frameworks, BDD (Behavioural Driven Design) Automated Build / Automated Release, API integrations (REST / SOAP) and D365 F&O are desirable
Skills & Knowledge
  • Proven experience as a business analyst and ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Extensive knowledge in principles of analysis and development of business requirements along with demonstrated abilities in problem identification, research for solutions, evaluation, and presentation of alternative deliverables
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills - able to analyse and solve problems. Ability to identify and document solutions to complex business problems with accuracy.
