Job Description

A Fantastic opportunity in a newly created role, for a Buyer whos looking to join a supportive team within the NHS.Pennine Care NHS FT have recently been through a corporate restructure and are now ready to appoint to a number of vacant roles. Mental health services are facing unprecedented growth and expansion and an increased presence in the media with athletes andcelebrities openly discussing their conditions. As such there has never been a more exciting time to join an NHS mental health provider.This particular role is a Senior Buyer, and we are looking for individuals who may not be currently working in the NHS but if you have the relevant experience and desire to work in the NHS, wed like to hear from you.This role involves providing support to the Procurement Manager, ensuring that a cost effective purchasing work programme is developed and maintained to help achieve the Trusts financial savings targets.The Senior Buyer will be the Procurement lead for a designated work stream and to lead on self-identified and allocated projects under the direction of the Procurement Manager, delivering against agreed timescales and outcomes for Trust devolved businessunits (DBU)/divisions. This will include sourcing and procuring goods, equipment, materials and services which meet customer requirements by demonstrating value for money and promoting an integrated approach to procurement.We are seeking applications from individuals who have the drive, passion and ability to make a difference. You must have significant experience in a finance role with excellent relationship building skills.
