We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Groundsworker/Playground Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced groundsworkers in various tasks related to pathworks, surfacing andplayground installation. This is a hands-on position that requires physical work, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.Responsibilities:- Assist with the installation of playground equipment, including assembly, anchoring, and ensuring proper safety measures are followed.- Help prepare and level ground surfaces for playground installation, ensuring proper drainage, stability, and suitable surfacing.- Support the construction and maintenance of pathways, including excavation, leveling, and surfacing with materials such as concrete, asphalt, or pavers.- Assist in the installation and repair of fencing, and other structural elements as needed.- Participate in the preparation and repair of sports fields and play areas.- Support the maintenance and repair of existing playgrounds and recreational areas, including inspections, cleaning, and replacement of damaged components.- Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively, such as power tools, excavators, compactors, and measuring instruments.- Follow instructions from experienced team members and prioritize tasks accordingly.- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.Requirements:- Previous experience in groundworks, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions.- Physical stamina and strength to handle manual labour in various weather conditions.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.- Basic knowledge of groundworks techniques, including pathworks and surfacing.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits:- Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in groundworks, playground installation, and maintenance.- Training and mentorship provided by experienced professionals.- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Possibility for career advancement within the company.- Contribution to the creation of safe and enjoyable outdoor spaces for communities.If you are eager to start a career in groundworks and playground installation, this trainee Groundworker/playground installer role provides a valuable opportunity to learn and growth within a dynamic team.
