Our people live and breathe our SPIRIT values; we are the place for spirited people.More about your roleYou will provide a high quality and efficient service in roofing including built up felt flat roof work, slating tiling sheet lead work and flashing and other associated trades to our domestic housing property portfolio across the Kent and East Sussex region.This role is required to ensure that all works are carried out on time and within the Groups policies and procedures, with regard to Health & Safety, housing management and maintenance.Health and Safety is very important to us, we provide a mandatory fall restraint system and training to ensure our roofers are safe when working on ladders and cat ladders, this is in addition to utilising Tower Scaffolds, Easi-Deck Access and also FullScaffolds when required.You will form a part of the on-call rota with your colleagues which you will receive an additional payment for participating in and an hourly rate of pay for the duration of any emergency call-out. Details of this will be discussed at interviewThis is a full time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week across Monday to Friday. You will be entitled to 24 days holiday including bank holidays.More about youTo be considered for this post you must be based in the Kent and West Sussex region and due to the travel required it is essential that you possess a full and current UK driving licence.will have previous experience with repairs and fault finding to pitch roofs, felt flat roof works, slating, tiling, sheet lead work and flashings which are all essential. You should also have a basic level of competency within other trades such as plastering,brick work and some basic joinery would be adventitious.You will be qualified to NVQ level 2 in roofing or have the equivalent experience in a similar role, site work experience isnt ideal for what we require, domestic roofing repairs and fault finding experience is essential for this role.You will also be an effective communicator both written and verbal and will have experience delivering excellent customer service.
