Company DescriptionJob DescriptionIf you’re looking to take the next step in your finance career, we now have a fantastic opportunity for aFinance Business Partnerto join us on a permanent basis in our Ashford, Kent office.The Finance Business Partner is a key business support to both the Finance Director Merchandising with a specific focus on supporting the pricing team and the Export division.Export is now part of IFG within Sysco it is split into separate divisions within the operating company of each geography. Export has sales over £9m per annum with about £6m of sales to 5 key customers but also serving about 20 smaller customers.We are looking for an individual who is highly numerate with strong data analytical skills who enjoys working towards tight deadlines whilst positively influencing the Senior Leadership Team.We are offering a hybrid working contract with most of your time spent working from home. You will be required to attend the Ashford, Kent office once per week. So you must be comfortable and flexible with the commute and ideally be located locally.Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Key strategic business partner to the Merchandising Pricing team & the Export team offering insight, and robust challenge where appropriate.
  • Robust, timely and accurate financial reporting of volumes, sales, margins and costs and insight into the key drivers of performance.
  • All required forecasting of these metrics and preparation of QBR’s & AOP’s.
  • Key additional support as Export develops new routes to market which optimize the wider IFG resources and find efficient solutions for moving product post-Brexit.
  • The role will play a key role both developing and maintaining processes and accounting for sales via different routes to market as well as understanding the associated costs to feed into commercial decision making.
  • It will also support and challenge the Export team in the formulation and delivery of plans and financial targets/forecasts (also for inter-company).
  • This role will also be the finance business partner supporting inter-company sales.
  • Key month-end activities including journals to record the correct COGS, journals to ensure inter-company transactions are recorded correctly, journals to accrue the BIBAM income and journals required to balance sheet control accounts.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations preparation for all balance sheet accounts including the High-risk Buying Income control account. Providing finance support to pricing including inflation forecasting and BMPI development and reporting.
  • Support for the Quarterly accruals process including knowledge of Supplier terms on Food Alert.
  • Production of information for Key customer audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with rest of Merchandising Finance team to identify & implement improvements in existing processes and document where appropriate.
  • Provide adhoc Finance support to Strategic Merchandising & Pricing team.
About you:You’ll be a qualified accountant, (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) currently operating as a Finance Business Partner, Management Account or Finance Analyst, looking to join a global organisation as part of your career development.We are looking for someone who has the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels across the business and to challenge decisions in a constructive way, offering solutions to any problems, always ensuring the best outcome is achieved. Using your financeknowledge and experience you will provide a vital service and partner closely with the team on risk and continuous improvement, so you must be able to hold a strong conversation with sound analytical insight. The ability to understand trends and results witha high level of competency in financial analysis and modelling is essential. An advanced level of Microsoft Excel is also required.
