This is a brand new position in a recently formed team within a growing company and is an ideal first step if you’re looking to build a career in Buying. It offers scope for the right candidate to shape the role and make a real impact.Buying Assistant ResponsibilitiesYou’ll be working as part of a small, friendly team and be responsible for stock management and order flow. You’ll be working to set targets and KPIs which incorporate growth and profit aligned with company expectations.Building and maintaining strong business relationships is key as this will enable you to comfortably manage relationships with suppliers and be the main point of contact for queries; liaising with both suppliers and our internal logistics, purchasing and warehouse teams.There’s also some essential administration you’ll need to handle such as chasing part orders and checking for missing stock so it’s important you have meticulous attention to detail.This is a fast paced environment where you’ll be expected to be able to plan ahead and multi-task efficiently.Buying Assistant Requirements• Strong interest in Buying• Results driven• Organised with meticulous attention to detail• Ability to work as part of a small team• Thrives in a fast paced environment with strong multi-tasking and time management skills• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) at all levels• Proven ability to achieve stretching targets• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel to produce reports• Strong administration skills• Previous experience within a Procurement Department would be great but not essential• Proven analytical skills are highly desirableAbout Axis Healthcare & Lifestyle:Axis Healthcare is a care agency which provides care to people in their own homes.
